Dear Friends,
Exciting news is on the horizon as we launch what used to be the Unashamed Book Club into the Unashamed Love Collective! Over the last year, this group of spiritual nomads have come together from coast to coast (and even around the globe!) to learn, grow, support, and deepen our love for ourselves, each other, and God. It has quickly grown into a beautiful and diverse group of LGBTQIA people, allies, parents of LGBTQIA kids, and faith leaders ranging in age from early 20’s to late 70’s. During our first 12 months together, we have read and discussed books and hosted authors such as Nadia Bolz-Weber, Matthias Roberts, Dr. David Gushee, Austen Hartke, Abby Stein, Emmy Kegler, and Colby Martin.
Moving forward into the launch of Season 3, we have an equally exciting line-up, starting with our launch in September featuring a live interview and musical performance by Jennifer Knapp!
As we launch into a broader collective, not only will we be continuing with our book discussions and live author interviews each month, but we will also be expanding our programming to include 2-3 special events per season where we will host an expert on a specific topic that is not tied to our book of the month (mental health, legislature change, intersectional identities, etc.) to grow in new ways together. Some of these events will include newly-released documentaries and interviews with the key people involved! We will also be offering ways to connect with people in your local area, resource lists for other ways to engage, mid-month hang-outs centered around building community, and the launch of our new member-exclusive swag boasting our new name and logo!
